INSULA EUROPAE PROJECT

Last project steps: the Results in Slovenia

The purpose of the Final Conference of the Insula Europae project on 24th of September in Madrid was to present the project results. The conference was held in one of the Spanish high schools involved in the project, Besana School, attended by the teachers and pupils of the school.

The project results were presented from different point of views, from the point if view of coordinator, students and teachers involved in the project, as well as from the perspective of partners involved in the project. The coordinator of the project, Fabrizio Boldrini, stressed the importance of the developed new learning tools, as well as the importance of the project as an experience of introducing new ways of learning in schools.

The presentation of the Besana teacher who was involved in the experimentation, brought up an interesting view, as she described the insecurity she felt when she was first faced with the idea of testing the new way of learning, a new challenge of creating different study environment, a challenge of new teaching strategy, new curricula, as well as experimenting e-didactical programs. However, she also described the interest of the students, as well as the new, more creative atmosphere among pupils caused by the change – of the class, of didactical tools and of the steadiness of the way of teaching.

Afterwards, also pupils presented their view of the experience of »Insula Europae« project, on one side through the video interview of three students and on the other by presentation of one student involved in the experimentation. They presented benefits as well as drawbacks of the experimented curricula.

Afterwards, also each of the partners had the opportunity to present the experience and the results of experimentation of the curricula in their countries. One of the outputs of the project presented at the conference is also video-dossier realised by Centro Studi Villa Montesca with the aim of spreading the “Insula Europae” spirit.
