INSULA EUROPAE PROJECT
Last project steps: the Results in Spain
The Insula Europae Project was briefly and clearly explained to all the students: goals of the project; and we remark the important of the student’s forum in order to exchange experiences and “insula europae” point of views. Before this the teachers already introduced the alumnus to the project, we only made the official presentation.
The participant team was composed by different student’s levels/class:

The student’s experimentation methodoly
We choose the cooperative work strategy, that’s mean that the pupils work together, they was working 2 or 3 pupil with the same computer.
The worst experience was with the youngest, the group formed by 1 ESO, they understood nothing from the curriculum, that’s was because of the lack of English and content knowledge, because is an advance material for them. We only can tested the format of the curriculum’s, the colours the navigation and some specific tools that are in the bottom.
With the others levels of students was easy, we planned the session into different moments:
first of all they “play” they navigate without problem around the platform and they understood the curriculum structure,
then the teacher formulate a question related to the subject and they must found the answer in the videos, and they found it!!!!!!!!
then we make a talk in a very friendly way about the spectation of the project idea.

CONCLUSIONS
Weakness:
- The entire group coincided in the same point; the English language used in the courseware is a limitation for many Spanish potential users. Students from secondary education in Spain don’t know very good English. They suggest to translate the Spanish national part into Spanish; or at least to have it in Spanish for printing.
- Something the computer voice doesn’t work.
- The necessity of internet connection.
- The cartoon is not really nice and either enjoyable.
- With some classes the contents doesn’t correspond with the students levels of knowledge’s.
Strengths:
- The materials are so interesting, the animations are very visual.
- The teachers were so enthusiastic with the project; it was a good team to work.
- The navigation tool is understanding by all the students
- The learning methodology (e-learning) is very attractive
- The suitable print option
- The web site and the platform is accessible by everyone.
