SHORT PRESENTATION
The Inter-University Center of Excellence for Research on Didactics, Innovation and Advanced Training, promoted by SSIS Veneto (School of Specialization for Secondary Teaching), has been set up on February 2004, between University Ca’ Foscari of Venice and IUAV (University Institute of Architecture of Venice).
The Center is focused on settled expertises, and its aim is to propose an idea of training as a generative network for the development of the social-economic system.
The specific strategy of the Center is to catch the opportunities offered by knowledge’s economy. The aim of the Center is to utilize the settled knowledge to create innovative and different products, services, experiences.
The Center promotes the visibility of its institutional partners, broading the range and reducing the costs of the activies. This collaboration enables to generate flexibility, to differentiate and to widen the didactic and research’s offer, to promote development.
The activities of the Center are:
- studies and researches on the different models and strategies of didactic and teaching, connected to the development of the learning process and the qualification of didactic offer in high schools and advanced training;
- studies and researches on vocational training, drawing attention to school’s and training’s stakeholders. These activities promote the qualification of the learning system and the internationalization process, connected to the starting training and the vocational training of European teachers;
- promotion and cooperation in national and international projects, focused on multimedial methodologies of training;
- researches and experimentations of new professional profiles: experts on training interaction, tutorship, distance learning. The aim of these activities is to create new models for teaching and to promote advanced and vocational net-training;
- research and development on evaluation of educational and training systems, to promote integration and reciprocity between school-training-job;
- studies and researches on planning methodologies, didactic communication in virtual context, communities of practise to develop the net;
- the development of nets of university structures for the accreditation and certification system of European professional profiles focused/connected to the innovation and integration of the different educational and training systems.
