SHORT PRESENTATION
Center for Educational Initiatives Association (CEI) is non-governmental,
non-profit association aimed at enhancing innovative educational
initiatives and facilitating educational reforms through co-operation
between institutions on regional and European level.
The main types of activity are development and implementation of
subsidised projects promoting intercultural education and tolerance,
cross-border co-operation in the field of education and culture
on regional and European level, as well as restructuring and modernisation
of methodology, school management and evaluation of the teaching
and learning process in Bulgaria.
SPECIFIC TASKS IN "INSULA EUROPAE" PROJECT
- Analysis of the operative record of work and its validation
- Participating in the dissemination team and identifying national
networks for the diffusion and testing of the results
- Analysis of national teaching systems
- Consultations with school or institutional authorities to receive
advice
- Collaborating with partners to define the "European culture
and literature" and "European civic education"
curricula
- Collaborating to develop the online didactic material
- Collaborating to develop the "modulo exempla" for
students studying the areas subject to the project
- National testing of the "modulo exempla" with the
participating institutes of the project not benefiting from the
Socrates grant (see appendix 2)
- Organising the "e-learning classrooms" in Bulgaria
(teacher training)
- Tutoring and mentoring online didactic work performed in Bulgaria
- Monitoring the results of the teaching at national level
- Defining a programme to diffuse the syllabuses at a national
and European level
- Realising the intermediate report on the results of the trials
(modulo exempla and online courses for teachers and students)
- Collaborating in the drafting of the online newsletters
- Host partner of the meeting in Bulgaria (1 and 2 September 2006)
Each partner also prepares reports of the results of the different
phases of the project and sends them to the coordinating organisation,
and is responsible for the dissemination, publication and monitoring
of the national trials
Each partner is responsible for the translation of documents produced
into English, the official language of the project
